The national mission of LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) is to advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, housing, health, and civil rights of the Hispanic population in the United States.

Rodriguez Middle School, named for Dr. Rudy and Rosemary Rodriguez, two longtime Denton LULAC members and community advocates. Dr. Rodriguez was a former professor at TWU and UNT, and former Denton ISD School Board Trustee, and is regarded as a pioneer for bilingual education with more than 40 years of service.  Click here to learn more:  Rodriguez
